At the beginning of 2018 the Trustees agreed to support a project in Zimbabwe run by The Mudeka Foundation. The Foundation supports children in Zimbabwe by giving them the opportunity to gain an education.
The Muda Borehole Project was provided with funds generated by three events which The Mason Trust held; The Climate Run in 2011 and 2012 and Fit for your Future in 2014.
The aim of the project was to provide the village with safe, clean and accessible drinking water. Due to the recent political changes in Zimbabwe the project experienced some difficulties but thanks to the fabulous team who worked extremely hard, the project was recently completed.
The Headmaster of the primary school sent this message to the Trustees:
"Dear Mason Trust
On behalf of Muda Primary School learners, staff, SDC, community and my own behalf, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the tremendous help you gave us upon completion of the water project will go a long way in alleviating our plight. The school is greatly indebted to you. May you be blessed abundantly.
Kindest regards
Mr Gwindingwi, Headmaster
