Digital Youth Hub hails great first year!

Program extended: 2022/23

131 young people secured employment this year!

In 2021 The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) awarded us a grant to deliver its Digital Youth Hub programme. The project takes referrals from the Job Centres in Dereham & Thetford to help young people overcome barriers and secure employment.

We are delighted to announce that the program has completed its first year and has been extremely successful overall.

With the hard work of our Employment Support Mentors, (Gawain and Maria), we are proud to have surpassed our initial target. Out of the 194 young people starting on the program, we have successfully helped 131 young people secure employment this year.

Additionally, our Support Mentors have enabled a further 10 young people to take part in other employment-related opportunities including; work experience, trial days, volunteering schemes and The Princes Trust program.

Our team are ecstatic to extend the program over 2022/23, enabling the 36 remaining people from the previous year to continue receiving valuable guidance from our Mentors, preparing them for the world of work and providing them with the skills needed to flourish in their careers.

We look forward to helping more young people achieve their dreams!
